Yellow Journalism

Your group has the task of creating a tabloid – style newspaper covering stories about the Social Studies teachers at Selinsgrove High School.  Be sure that your stories answer the journalistic questions:  Who? What? Where? When? Why? and How?  But also be sure to Greatly exaggerate the story as is typical in a tabloid.  Within your group you are to write, review and edit your news stories in order to create an interesting and informative newspaper.  Your papers should contain at least four of the following headlines (you finish them):

1.      Beddall Refuses to Tell …

2.      Switala Struggles With…

3.      Police Discover Aurand…

4.      Steffen’s Startling Discovery

5.      Heiser Found Wearing…

6.      The Secret Life of Walt Fisch

7.      WaltersZimmermann Says, "Truly..."

You also need an illustration on the cover referring to one of the articles.  Remember to include characters and text to further sensationalize the news, as is typical of a tabloid.
