A Website on the Civil Rights Movement

Your project for this unit is to create a website for middle school students to teach them about various events associated with the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960’s.  Each of you should visit this Webquest:  http://fp.seattleschools.org/fpclass/web33/ and choose one of the topics listed.*  Use the resources as well as any other sources if needed to educate 7th graders about your selected topic. Remember, this is a group project but you are each responsible for a different topic.

* You may also select from these topics, though you will need to find your own websites:

·        Wounded Knee

·        National Organization for Women

·        Caesar Chavez and the farm workers’ movement
