The History of Europe A.P.

Description: The Advanced Placement Program in European History is designed to provide students with an understanding of some of the principle themes in Modern European History, an awareness of Europe's changing position in the world, and an ability to analyze historical evidence. Areas to be studied are Political and diplomtic History, Intellectual and Cultural History, and Social and Economic History. Demands made in this course are equivalent to those of a first-year introductory college course in European History. Students are required to take the European history exam at the conclusion of the course. Information on receiving college credit for the course is available from the instructor.
