Spanish 1

Credit: 1.00

Prerequisite: None

Description: Students of Level 1 Spanish communicate in the target language with other students, their teachers and occasional community speakers. Demonstrating some basic patterns of Spanish behavior and speech, they engage in social interactions and begin to use the language to obtain, process and provide information on a variety of real life topics in controlled contexts. Technology at times assists students and performance assessments reveal the ability to express elementary needs and solve simple problems. Individually and collaboratively, students listen, speak, read and write sometimes connecting with other disciplines and always growing in cross cultural awareness.
