90% of all americans agree that the death penalty should be in affect, and then there are the other 10% who dont agree with it. The vast majority of political leaders have ignored the voices of the majority of our population. There are many arguments for the abolition of the death penalty. In many places of the world homicides are the result of uncontrollable emotion, where the killer does not reflect on the consequences of their actions. And here in our own state of Pa the death penalty is allowed.Remember when just a few weeks ago the 18 year old boy from Lititz, Pennsylvania shot and killed the parents of his 14 year old girlfriend. And now the court is considering the death penalty for him...And we think of it this way, a quote from one of the girls in our group "if we are punishing the criminal for killing these two people then why are we doing the same thing for wanting to have them killed because of there actions. What is your voice within all of this.
