           Age of Exploration

What is going on in Unit 10!

In this unit we will be looking at the Age of Exploration, with a specific concentration on the conquest of the Americas. In this unit we will have a test as well as be doing many projects in and out of class. There will be a news paper assignment in which you'll be reporting on the conquest of the Americas as well as the earliest colonies in the Americas. In addition, we will be doing the Spice Trade report. In this exercise students will be doing a presentation on a spice that the explorers sought after during the Age of Exploration and then bringing in a food that contains that spice. For those students that haven't done a Portfolio Presentation this will be the last opportunity. The Portfolio for this Unit is to work in a group and create a board game on one of the assigned chapters in this unit. All the rubrics for all this exercises are listed below. There is a Tutorial link on Day 8 for additional help studying for the test. Standards being assessed in this unit are: 6.4.12, 7.1.12, 7.2.12, 7.3.12B, 8.1.12.B, 8.4.12.C, 8.4.12.D.
