What is going on in Unit 1!

Listed below are all the days and the daily lesson plans for Unit 1 Prehistory. In this unit, we will have our first quizzes and our first writing assignment. The class will also be writing the Iceman essay. The Iceman essay is based on the Iceman discovery made in 1991 in the Swish Alps. In this essay, you will be expected to imagine that you are an archeologist examining the Iceman (yourself). This assignment has a rubric and you are expected to use the Iceman rubric as a criteria guide while writing the essay. Also, we will have the first of two portfolio presentations. The presentation is on an aspect of the unit that will study. This is a research and presentation project, that is required! To see the criteria for this assignment follow the Portfolio Rubric link below. In addition to the rubrics, there are daily lesson plans for each day of the unit, so if you miss a day follow the links below to see what the class is doing! Lastly there is a Tutorial at Day 7 which would give all students an additional opportunity to study for the exam for this unit. Standards being assessed in this unit are: 7.1.12.A, 7.1.12.B, 7.3.12.A, 7.3.12.B, 8.1.12.A, 8.1.12C, 8.1.12.D
