What is going on in Unit 2!


     Listed below are all the days and the daily lesson plans for Unit 2 on Ancient Egypt and other early civilizations. In this unit, we will examining the first civilizations and what the characteristics are for a civilizations. For this unit students will be doing a Tomb project. The students are supposed to imagine that they are a great pharaoh who before he/she dies will leave a model of what they want their tomb to look like and items they want to take with them when they die. Everyone can earn 20 bonus points if they do their tomb in the shape of a pyramid. All tombs should be at least the size of a shoebox. In addition some students will be doing a Portfolio Presentation using the characteristics of civilization.  Also, there is a Journal assignment due for this unit. For additional studying for the Egypt exam click on Tutorial at Day 4. Standards being assessed in this unit are: 7.1.12.A, 7.1.12.B, 7.3.12.A, 7.4.12.A, 8.1.12.A, 8.1.12.B
