Introduced the long-term assignment: All roads lead to Rome. In this assignment the class will be doing a web quest in small groups. Each group of 3 will be given a different topic with questions. The groups are supposed to use the websites links to start their research. Once all the information is collected then the students will need to put together a brochure or PowerPoint presentation about their topic Collected "Values of Sparta and Athens" Read pg. 102 In your notes answer these questions. 1. How do they (Olympics) reflect modern international rivalries? 2. How do they (Olympics), like the ancient Greek games, help to ease international conflict? Discussed the early literary works of the Aegean Region and the famous poet Homer. Also, discussed the Trojan War and the individual responsible for discovering the ancient city of Troy.
