Job Goal
To provide counseling, consultation, and coordination of student-centered services
for the high school student and his or her family in addressing educational,
physical, social and emotional needs within a developmental framework. The school
counselor strives to deliver a continuum of appropriate services, ranging from
prevention and early intervention to crisis intervention. In addition, the school
counselor provides indirect services to the student by advising parent(s)/guardians,
administrators, teachers, other school personnel and community resources about
student needs and by coordinating programs that facilitate awareness and understanding
of these needs.
