Prerequisite:Algebra I

  Algebra II Level I is for those students who do not plan to take another college preparatory mathematics course. The pace is slow to allow those students who had difficulty in Algebra I to achieve a better understanding of Algebraic concepts. Properties of real numbers and their uses are discussed; linear, quadratic and higher degree inequalities are solved and expressions which contain variables, real numbers and imaginary numbers are simplified as well as many other topics and exercises are discussed. Student competency is evaluated in daily work, quizzes, chapter tests, and a final examination. Frequent group board work will be utilized and also a portfolio of student work will be kept.
