Prerequisite:Pre-Algebra
Algebra I-Level I is designed for those students who need to strengthen their basic math skills. The pace allows those students who experienced difficulty in pre-algebra to achieve a better understanding of Algebra concepts. The course develops the basic structure of the set of real numbers and the properties of multiplication and addition. the distributive property, techniques of equation solving, rules for the operations with polynomids, and factoring techniques are developed. Student evaluation is based on tests, quizzes, classwork, group activities, and a portfolio will be kept on each student. Recommended courses to follow meet all seven Mathematical outcomes for graduation are: Algebra II-Level I, and practical or Plane Geometry.
