The AP Calculus course is a college level course which is recommended for advanced mathematics sudents. An exam is required to be taken at the end of the course (at the student's cost). The student will recieve college credit for the course if he/she scores high enough on the exam. Topics studied include: limits, differentiation, integration, applications, logarithmic and trigonometric functions, and inverse functions. Computer programs to work with all the above topics are also integrated. Students learn the theory, work the problems inlcuding some group-student sessions, then they see how most of the same work can be done on a graphing calculator and a computer. A TI-82 graphing calculator is strongly suggested to use in this course.
