Prerequisite: Recommendation of Guidance Counselors

   This mathematics course is designed for the students who need remediation in basic arithmetic skills. The course will concentrate on the four basic operations in conjugation with whole numbers, decimals, amd fractions. The relationship between percents, decimals and fractions will be studied. Emphasis is placed on drillwork. After each concept, students will apply these skills in solving theoretical and practical problems. Student evaluation is based on homework, quizzes, chapter tests, and a final exam and a competency test.
