This course is designed primarily for the students who choose not to take Algebra. It presents the fundamental concepts and skills required in a technological society. Topics include charts and tables, statistics, ratios, graghs, probability, measurement, geometry, algebra, and fundamental mathematics operations. Mathematical proficiency and understanding will follow as the student is given practice in relevent problem-solving situations. Student competency is evaluated in daily work, quizzes, tests, and a final examination. Group discussion and collaboration will be a large part of the course work. A portfolio of students work will also be kept.
