Accelerated Earth Science

Students will explore topics in astronomy and cosmology, mineralology, plate tectonics, seismology, volcanism, weathering, erosion, glaciology and meteorology. All Students will be required to prepare a rock collection, collect a soil sample, and complete multiple class activities and labs. Students enrolling in this course must sucessfully complete one chemistry and one physics credit to fulfill the physical science requirements. This half-credit course is designed to fulfill the earth science requirement for students who have an interest in science and wish to take upper-level course in high school.
