Anatomical Systems Assignment MS
Doc.
Each group will make a poster of a given body system.
The poster should display the area and explain the main structures
compositions and functions. The posters will be graded according to the
proper location of each structure, the explanation of each structure,
group participation, and creativity. Each group member will complete a
group evaluation form to help determine the participation percentage.
Chapter 38 = Digestive System: oral cavity,
teeth, tongue, pharynx, epiglottis, esophagus, stomach, small intestine
(3 parts), large intestine, appendix, rectum, anus grading
Chapter 37 = Circulatory System: Heart (outside/inside) = pericardium,
aorta, pulmonary arteries, pulmonary veins, inferior vena cava, superior
vena cava, 4 chambers (atria, ventricles), septum, 2 A-V valves (bicuspid,
tricuspid), 2 semilunar valves grading
Chapter 37 = Respiratory System: lungs, diaphragm, pleura, nostrils,
pharynx, larynx, vocal cords, trachea, bronchi, bronchial tubes, bronchioles,
alveol grading
Chapter 38 = Excretory System: kidneys (cortex, medulla, pelvis),
ureter, bladder, urethra, nephrons, glomerulus, Bowmans capsule,
renal tubule, loop of Henle, renal arteries, renal veins
grading
Chapter 36 = Integumentary System: Skin = epidermis, keratin,
melanocytes, dermis, sebaceous glands, sweat glands, hair follicles, subcutaneous
layer (adipose tissue) grading
Chapter 35 = Nervous System: Eye + Ear = sclera, cornea, choroids
coat, iris, pupil, lens, ciliary muscles, retina, rods, cones, optic nerve,
aqueous humor, vitreous humor, pinna, auditory canal, tympanic membrane,
3 bones, oval window, Eustachian tube, cochlea, semicircular canal, auditory
nerve grading
