Discussion and Activities exploring what city life was like in factories, tenements and gangs. Assignment: Read p. 454-458 (A.H. book). Pretend you are the editor of a city newspaper during the Industrial age. Write an editorial to the readers of your newspaper delighting in or bemoaning the conditions in your city. Use as many specific examples as possible and include much detail.

Disussion and Activities on Free Enterprise, Socialism and Communism. Assignment: Read p. 402-407 (A.H. book). Write down your understanding of what a Union is, how it achieves change and why a majority of the population during this time did not join a Union.

Discussion and Activities on Unions during the Industrial Age. Assignment: Complete Job Application for class tomorrow. Do not put your Social Security number on this application. All other areas must be completely filled out in detail.
