Welcome! Our classroom has been moved. We are no longer in Room 100.  We are now in Room 113 in the opposite hallway! Another change is that I will be teaching students from both second and third grades. I look forward to working with all of them!

In our class we strive to give extra support and assistance to children who have an I.E.P. Some students receive instruction outside of learning support class in math.  Primarily students work on Reading, Spelling, English, and Math in learning support class. Extra practice and tutoring are provided for the subjects taught in regular  classes. Science and Social Studies Study Guides are supplied to students to reinforce instruction in their other classes as needed.

When test time rolls around for students, most times tests are given to them in Learning Support. When needed, adapted tests are utilized, and I create them using methods I've learned through experience and workshops. For example, I change "fill in the blank" questions to "multiple choice" or "true/false" ones. I provide "word banks" and also practice in a variety of ways in the classroom to reinforce concepts taught in the regular classrooms. This enables your child to more fully participate in activities and discussions in the regular class.
