I am Mrs. McCartney and I really enjoy teaching! I am married and have three children. My daughter is in Sixth Grade this year at the Selinsgrove Area Middle School, my one son is a Sophomore at the Selinsgrove Area High School and my other son is a Senior . I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, exercising, and any outdoor activities. I graduated from Selinsgrove Area High School and went on to attend Millersville University where I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education/Early Childhood. I also finished my Master's Degree in the Art of Teaching through Marygrove College. I was a substitute teacher for this district for six years and then was hired as a Kindergarten Teacher at Jackson-Penn Elementary School in which I taught for four years. Then I moved to the Selinsgrove Area Intermediate School where I am in my eighth year of teaching Third Grade. My mission in teaching is to help students develop a lifelong love for learning by giving them the security and understanding they need and to help them achieve their highest potential mentally, emotionally, socially, and physically.
