Adaline Falling Star by Mary Pope Osborn Adaline is a eleven year old girl with out a mom. She is sent to live with her relatives while her dad explores the west. She waits for her dad to come back but he never comes. So Adaline tries to find her way back to her mothers people. On the way she finds a dog for a companion. At the end she finds her dad. Adaline Falling Star is a great book! It is scary, sad, and funny all at the same time time. If you didn't read this book you don't know what your missing. Adaline is half Indian and half American and she is really brave! Read Adaline Falling Star and it will brighten up your day!!!! Alec

Little House in the Big Woods by Laura Ingalls Wilder A little girl named Laura lives in Wisconsin. Laura grows up living with wolves,panthers and bears. They live in a wooden house that their Pa built. She lives with her Pa and Ma, and her sisters, Mary and baby Carrie. Pa had a fiddle. He played it almost every night to keep the family warm and cozy. This book is good. It tells you about a little girl who grows up to be a teacher. It is a true story. She lives in the wilderness with her family. It is interesting. And funny.   Allison

Fairy Dreams by Carol Mclean Carr My favorite book is Fairy Dreams. It takes place in a little girls dream. She dreams of fairies unicorns and mermaids. Then they go to a ball. I love this book because the pictures look so real and I just love it. It's just so great that I love reading it. Chelsea

Junie B. Jones is a Graduation Girl by Barbara Park My favorite book is about a girl who passes kindergarten and gets a white graduation dress and cap for the last day.When she was playing with it she spilled some grape juice on them. She didn't know what to do so she took a purple marker and made purple polka dots to match the purple grape juice. When she looked at them she thought they looked neat. Then when she went to school the next day a mean boy laughed at her so she went to the back of the room to hide. Finally when she came out of hiding she saw that everyone had made different colored polka dots on their dress and cap too!! I think this is a really good book because it reminds me of the last day of school. One thing I like about this book is it's really funny. Another thing I like about this book is it reminds me of the last day of school. On the last day of school we do a lot of fun activaties and on her last day of school she had a kindergarten graduation Junie B. does and says a lot of funny things that make people angry but they still laugh. Afternoon on the Amazon by Mary Pope Osborne The story is about a boy and a girl who went to the Amazon Rain Forest to find clues. They went there because they had to break spells to free Morgan who was trapped there. One day they found a tree house. They climbed up the ladder and saw a whole bunch of books. The tree house is actually invisible to other people, but not to them. They only saw it because Jack loves books and Annie likes to pretend. You should read this book because it's exciting. It's a really fun book to read.If you don't like the rain forest you should still read this book. Once you read this book you'll like the rain forest. Jessica

Captain Underpants by Dav Pilkey Captain Underpants is a guy that only wears underwear. He is very strong and he can fly. He fights the criminals that are trying to take over the world. This is one of a series of comic books. If you like underwear you will like this book. I think you should read this book because it is fun and funny at the same time. Garfield at Large by Jim Davis l like Garfield at Large because it's funny! Garfield is a cat who sleeps and eats, sleeps and eats. Garfield grew up at an Italian restraunt. He ate all the lasagna in sight! His owner is Jon Arbuckel. Jon is a cartoonist. You will like Garfield at Large because it is fun to read. Also you will like it because Garfield meets his grandfather. He goes to the farm were Jon was born and raised. Jon's parents want him to marry some girl,but Garfield says "lmpossible."Garfield meets this dog called Odie. Now Garfield thinks dogs are stupid, well this is one is. Garfield beats ups Odie. He kicks Odie off of table and eats his food.Garfield aways falls asleep in rays of sun. Garfield has nap attacks too. That all explains why you might like Garfield at Large. Kim

Locked in the Library by Marc Brown It is about a boy how tells every one that a girl at school looks like a marshmallow because she wears a fluffy sweater. the girl and boy got paired up by there teacher for a home work assignment. The girl and boy were not paying attention in the librarian locked in said. They tried the telephone and it was out of order They ate pizza andwatched a scary movie until their parent came to rescue them. For their project they where each others here so they got a A+. I think you should read this book because it is interesting when you read this you will be scared and some times happy. Its fun to read this book because the end the friends learn to care about each other! Katie

Holes by Luis Sachar Holes is about a boy who gets sent to a bad camp for something he didn't do. At the camp he had to dig holes. When he finds a gold pipe, he realizes that the camp must be looking for something, not just digging. I liked reading Holes because it was written in an easy to read language. The descriptions were vivid and interesting. The story idea was clever and made me want to keep reading. Parker

Star in the Storm by Joan Hiatt Harlow There is a dog that saves peoples lives. A little girl owns the dog and she loves him a lot. In about the middle of the story the little girl goes to the ocean and falls off boardwalk. Close to the end of the story her dad was on a ship and the ship crashed into an iceburg. The dog saved all the people on the ship. All the time she would take the dog to the woods when she had nothing else to do. But the dog got them out of the woods. I think kids should read this book becuase it teaches you to help others. If someone gets hurt on the playground they could help them. Also I think they should read this book becuase if they like old fashioned type books this is kind of old fashion. If you like dogs it has dogs in the book. Another reason why you should read this book is becuase it's long and good for the mind. Rachael

Ramona The Brave by Beverly Cleary Ramona The Brave is about a girl named Ramona Quimby who is starting first grade. She thinks she is very brave when she throws her shoe at a German Separd that is guarding it's house. She walks into school and goes in the bathroom to get some paper towels to make a slipper. Then she staples them together. Then she decorates it like a rabbit with ears and draws a face. Ramona has alot of adventures! I like this book because Ramona does alot of things that get her into trouble. I also think she is very funny. This book was fun to read because it made me laugh. Rachel

Sarah Plain And Tall by Patricia MacLachlan My favorite book is about a husband whose wife died. So he put in the newspaper that he needed a mom for his two kids! A woman named Sarah wrote back and said she would be the mom and his wife. So she moved to the house and was married! The reason why I like Sarah Plain And Tall is she has the same name as me. If you like sad stories then you'll like this. If you enjoy stories with some humor in it then you'll like this too! That's why I think you should read Sarah Plain And Tall. Sarah

A Load Of Trouble by Barbara Davoll The story is about a church mouse. The mouse lives in a church with his mouse friend. It's a funny story to read. I like the book A Load Of Trouble. The little church mouse story helps me learn about helping others and to learn more about GOD. It makes me happy when am sad. The story is a good story to read. Do you like funny stories? Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J. K. Rowling It's Harry's fourth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. They are holding the Wizard Tournament there. Dumbledor told them that you enter the tournament by writing your name and putting it in the Goblet of Fire. Somehow Harry has been chosen to compete to get the medal. One task was stealing a dragon's egg while on a broomstick and things like that. It is about a young wizard named Harry Potter. It has a lot of creatures like dragons and mermaid. The most evil creature is the sinister Voldamort, an evil wizard that gave Harry his lightning scar. The item's they use are a wand, a broomstick, a cauldron, potions and many other things. The Goblet of Fire demands who can enter the Wizard tournament. My favorite part was when Harry duels with Voldamort while the death eaters watch. Austin

Here Comes Garfield by Jim Davis I like Here Comes Garfield because he is funny! It is about a cat who loves lasagna. His buddy, Odie, goes to the pound. Garfield goes to try to get him out. So he does, but then he is sent to the pound. Then this girl comes along and picks Garfield. He ran past the girl to save Odie. Behind him was the rest of the crew to help him. They fight a lot in the store. Then when he wakes up he throws the clock through the window. The clock hits the bird , then he wakes up. I think you should read this book because Garfield is a funny cat. He also does mean things to Odie like pushes Odie off the table. His adventures are cool. Hunter

Captain Underpants by Dav Pilkey Captain Underpants is about a superhero and two boys. The two boys help the superhero. They fight supervillans. In the end they beat them. Captain Under Pants is a very cool book. It is also very funny too. I like it and I think you will too. It is a very good book. Kolby

Rugrats Blast Off! By Terry Darrlye At the beginning of the story Tommy, Chuckie, Angelica, Phil, and Lil were getting ready for a picnic. As they were traveling, everyone except Angelica put buckets on their head. So they got out of the car and pretended they were in space. Then Angelica put a bucket on and was glad. Then they Blasted Off! They see aliens. But then, they slide down a volcano. Angelica tripped and almost fell in, but they got back to the picnic. Then they went home. I think you should read this book because it's like your in space, and there's two aliens. It was very interesting. I liked it because it was funny book. Nicholas
