Hi! Welcome to 5th
grade! I am so excited for this school year. I love teaching! Ever since
I my first day of kindergarten, I have wanted to be a teacher. I can
remember forcing my three younger brothers, younger sister, and all my
stuffed animals to sit in neat rows in my parents' attic to play school.
Even then, I was strict about raising a hand to speak and completing
work neatly.
After high school, I pursued my childhood dream of becoming a teacher.
In 2005, I graduated from Susquehanna University with a B.S. in
Elementary/Early Childhood Education and a minor in Psychology. Since
then, I have substituted at many different grade levels. Now, I'm in 5th
grade, and I'm having so much fun!
Besides teaching, I love to play tennis. Currently, I'm a volunteer
assistant for the girls' high school tennis team. In the spring, I coach
the sprinters on the girls' track team. In my spare time, I love to
read. My favorite genre is MYSTERY! When I was in 5th grade, my favorite
books were the Nancy Drew series. My favorite author now, as you may
have already guessed, is Mary Higgins Clark.
