In Math we will be using the Harcourt Brace Math series. We will begin with a review of addition and subtraction. Then we will go to multiplication and division. Students should know their multiplication and division facts well by the end of the year. Those students who have difficulty learning them will use "Times Tables the Fun Way," to help them. We also use workbooks for money and time skills every marking period. We will also work with fractions, decimals, geometric figures, and some other neat things.  A big difference for this year is that we now have a double class period in Math in 5th grade.  This should help students to progress even more in Math.
