Who is Mr. Smith?

Hello, I am an enthusiastic member of the staff at the Selinsgrove Area Intermediate School.  I am Mr. Smith.  As a Fifth Grade teacher this school year, I thought you might want to know a little bit about me.  I grew up in Everett, a small town in the Southern Alleghenies of Pennsylvania.  After high school I completed a degree in Studio Art at Shippensburg University, worked as volunteer in AmeriCorps at Susquehanna University and later earned a Master of Education degree from Bloomsburg University.  I am presently taking courses at Bucknell University.  I love teaching and feel fortunate to spend my time leading groups of children in their learning.

I am a hard worker and thus have high expectations for student effort, behavior and achievement.  I expect that all of my students will do their best everyday.   Fifth Grade will be a wonderful year to laugh, grow and learn.
