The money helps greatly in balancing the PTSO budget. The next submission will be at the end of March. The Wolfgang bill has been paid. Currently, the PTSO checking account has $8,136 and the Money Market has $50,478. A motion to accept the treasurer’s report was offered and seconded. III.  Old Business

A.   Giving Tree - The Snyder County Children and Youth Agency picked up all items donated to their program and stated they were thankful for all the donations.

Thank you to Gilbert’s for their donation of our Christmas Tree.

B.   The display cases are reserved for decoration through March. Decorations are needed for April and May. Please let the PTSO know if you’d like to reserve a display case.

IV. New Business

A.  Turn Off TV Week is scheduled for the third week in April. In the past, we have participated by offering activities and incentives through the course of the week for the students who participate. It was discussed whether to do it this year or not. A coordinator is needed. It was decided to table the discussion until next month.

B.  Year Book Update - Andrea Burda said picture retakes are complete and the new pictures will be printed in the year book. The Wolfgang profit was lower than expected so donations to the year book fund is being requested. Also, pictures of school activities are still needed.

V.  Mr. Heintzelman’s Update

Mr. Heintzelman began with recognizing the teachers present along with thanking the teachers as a whole for their time and effort to our school. Mrs. Morgan, a guidance counselor for third and fourth grades, thanked everyone for their participation with Red Ribbon Week and career days. She also thanked the PTSO for their continual support of the programs at the school. She also gave the opportunity for parents to make suggestions or to ask questions.

Mr. Heintzelman reminded everyone that information is included in the monthly newsletter announcing outside activities that are available for students. Currently, registration forms for Scouting, Little League Baseball, and a Girls’ Softball Clinic are available in the school office.

He continued with thanking those who helped with the pick up and delivery of the Wolfgang candy.

4 Sight testing is continuing. It started with a baseline assessment followed by two more assessments indicating how the students are doing with the current curriculum. He is pleased with the progress shown. The assessments will help to prepare the students for the PSSA.
