Selinsgrove Area Intermediate School

Mrs. Cathi Crossgrove, RN
About me...............
Hello! I am a Snyder County native, and I grew up the metropolis of Middleburg, PA. After graduating from Middleburg High School in 1991, I decided to travel south for four years to escape the cold and snow! I first graduated from the University of Alabama in 1995 (Roll Tide Roll !!!)with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, and unfortunately the nursing shortage was over when I graduated! I was unable to obtain one full time job, so I worked in four flex pools (all three shifts!). The first nursing jobs I held were at Leigh Valley Hospital on a medical/surgical floor and at three different nursing homes in the Lansdale/Allentown area. After only one year of "city" living, my husband and I decided to move back to Middleburg. I worked at Penn Lutheran Village for a year, before accepting a position at Sun Home Health Services. I was a home health nurse for 7 years. During this time, I returned to school to obtain my school nurse certificate from Lycoming College. I then continued my education and completed my Master's of Education with a Concentration in School Nursing from Cambridge College in January of 2008. My first school nurse position was at Warrior Run School District (long term sub) followed by 2 years at the Lewisburg Area School District. I came to the Selinsgrove Area School District in August of 2004 and I am very happy to serve students and families! I reside in Middleburg with my husband, Jeff, and my two sons, Cade and Bren. We enjoy family activities such as watching the Phillies, swimming, bike riding, playing ball of any kind, watching movies and visiting with friends. In my free time, (what's that????) I love to shop with friends, cook, bake, surf the net and take naps to recover :-)
