Immunizations

I encourage you to discuss your child's current immunization status with your primary-care physician.

If your child has had any booster shots recently and they have not been reported to the school, please submit these dates to the school nurse so they can be documented on their Pennsylvania Immunization Certificate.

Diptheria/Tetanus is given after a child's 4th birthday, often at their 5 year check-up. A booster typically follows 5 years later, around the age of 10.

Additionally there is legislation requiring either Chickenpox (Varicella) vaccine, a positive blood test for immunity, or a documented case of Chickenpox disease for all 7th grade students.

You may contact the Snyder County State Health Clinic at 837-5915 or your private physician to receive required/recommended immunizations if needed.
