Health Screening Program at the Intermediate School

The following screening programs are performed:

1. All students have a growth assessment yearly, which includes height and weight measurement.

2. All students have a vision screening yearly, which assesses near and far vision.

3. Students in Grade 3 and Special Education Class have a hearing screening.

4. Students in Grade 3 are required by the School Code to have a dental examination. If the Private Dental Form is not returned to the school, the student will be scheduled for a School Dental examination after parent permission is received. Students in other grades without record of a dental examination will also be invited to receive a school exam.

* Referrals for further evaluation are made when abnormal findings are discovered during all screenings.
