Mrs. Patricia Williamson

Intermediate Librarian

Mrs. Williamson is a native of Lansdale in southeastern Pennsylvania. She graduated from East Stroudsburg University with a B.S. degree in elementary education.  She taught fifth grade in North Penn School District (her alma mater) immediately after she graduated.  Having married she followed her husband, Colin, to the Tidewater Area of Virginia during his naval career.   During their years in Virginia Beach, she taught second, fifth, and middle/high school Bible and health at Portsmouth Christian Schools.  While her husband's ship was in the shipyards in Philadelphia, she returned to college full-time to earn her Masters in Library Science degree from Kutztown University.  As a librarian she has worked for Brodart Co. in Williamsport as an online cataloger and as a high school librarian at Bald Eagle Area School District in Centre County.  Having returned to her first love of elementary school students, she has been employed as an elementary and intermediate school librarian in Selinsgrove since August 1993.

Her family life includes her husband, Colin, who is employed by Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport, and her two children, Courtney and Case.  Courtney is a graduate of Selinsgrove High School and is a student at Lock Haven University.  Her son, Case, is a student in the Selinsgrove Area School District.  She serves as recording secretary for her church and she is also the church organist. She recently joined her husband in the Sunbury City Band playing bass drum.  Her interests include her dogs (she now has three-- Carey, a Welsh corgi, Ozzy, a Jack Russell terrier who is a "grandpup", her son's dog, and the newest puppy, Lyndsay, a wheaten Scottish terrier puppy), boating with her family, playing piano, cheering for her two favorite football teams--the Selinsgrove Seals and the Philadelphia Eagles, and reading the best new books in the school library.
