Pennsylvania Authors

           Debbie Dadey--Ms. Dadey is our visiting author for this year. Now a resident of southeastern Pennsylvania, Ms. Dadey grew up in Kentucky and mostly recently moved from Colorado.  She is best known for her series The Adventures of the Bailey School Kids which she wrote with Monica Thornton Jones. Her newest series is Bailey School Kids Jr. Chapter Books.  She also has written Slime Wars and Slime Time with her son, Nathan.

Linda Oatman High is a native of Lancaster County, currently living in Bowmansville. She lives with her husband, John, and son, Zach.  Her son, Justin, lives nearby with his wife and son.  She has won awards for Cemetery Keepers of Gettysburg, City of Snow : the Great Blizzard of 1888, Sister Slam and the Poetic Motormouth Road Trip, The Girl on the Diving Horse, Barn Savers, and A Humble Life, among many other titles.

  Barbara Robinson  is a resident of Berwyn, Pennsylvania.  Best known for The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, the ever popular book tells the story of the six Herdman children, known for smoking, stealing, and lying, but want to be part of the community's Christmas pageant.  Spin-offs from the book include The Best School Year Ever and The Best Halloween Ever. Having always loved writing, she graduated from college with a writing degree and has written magazine articles, plays, and poetry.
