Class Happenings

 

June 3rd - Special schedule was held this afternoon for the C Team Olympics. The C Team will be having our rewards day tomorrow June 4th.

June 2nd - Special Schedule was held this afternoon for the C Team Olympics.

June 1st - Period 5 completed their final projects on Europe and the final Europe quiz was given today. The C Team Olympic Games will be held on June 2nd and 3rd.

May 28th - Periods 3 and 4 completed their final projects on Europe. There is a quiz scheduled for Tuesday, June 1st.

May27th - Periods 1 and 2 completed their final projects on Europe.  There is a quiz scheduled for Tuesday, June 1st.

May 26th - A special schedule was held today to provide time for our Seal of Excellence students to enjoy an ice cream sundae. Language Arts, Science and Math were taught with the students then working on their Five Themes of Europe projects.  Frog week begins tomorrow with the first two POD classes dissecting. May 25th - Students continued working on their Europe projects. Reminder: The Europe VII Map Quiz is on Tuesday, June 1st.

May 24th - The Europe VI Map Quiz was taken today and then the students continued working on their group projects. Reminder: The Europe VII Map Quiz is on Tuesday, June 1st.

May 21st - The students continued working on their projects that are due during frog week. Reminder: The Europe Map Quiz VI is on Monday, May 24th.

May 20th - The students all started working on their group projects pertaining to Europe and the Five Themes of Geography today in the computer lab. Reminder: The Europe Map Quiz VI is on Monday, May 24th.

May 19th - All classes completed a web illustrating the culture of one country of Europe. The classes then complied the information as we discussed the similarities and differences of European culture.  The students were given information concerning the final project that they will be working on through the remainder of the year. Reminder: The Europe Map Quiz VI is on Monday, May 24th.

May 18th - The entire team watched a historical movie on Mahatma Gandhi during POD time today.  Reminder: The Europe Map Quiz VI is on Monday, May 24th.

May 17th - All sections took the Europe V Map quiz this afternoon.  We then discussed the various parts of a country's culture and the students were broken into small groups to research one of the country's of Europe.  The group was to complete a web and when finished the class will compare the cultural similarities and differences of Europe.  Reminder: The Europe Map Quiz VI is on Monday, May 24th.

May 13th and 14th - NO SCHOOL ENJOY THE WEEKEND!!

May 12th - There was a special schedule today for 4-Sight testing in Reading and Math.  Reminder: The Europe Map Quiz V is on Monday May 17th.

May 11th - We reviewed the test on the physical landscape of Europe and then read a selection on the Medieval Era.  The students began a worksheet creating  a social ladder from the time period.

May 10th - The students took a map quiz today and all sections discussed what they had learned pertaining to Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome.  The Europe Map Quiz V is on May 17th.

May 7th - There was a special schedule today with the Algebra Prognosis Assessment, a Science video and Language Arts class. We also had a small celebration to honor our student teacher's last day. Reminder: The Europe IV Map Quiz is on Monday, May 10th.

May 6th - The classes continued with Roman Numerals and played a game created by Ms. McCord using their knowledge of Roman Numerals.  The Europe IV Map Quiz is on Monday May 10th.

May 5th - All sections continued the notes on the contributions of Ancient Rome - with animated discussions on the justice system. The Europe IV Map Quiz is on Monday May 10th.

May 4th - The classes continued their discussion on Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome today in class. The Europe IV Map Quiz is on Monday May 10th.

May 3rd -  All sections had their Europe III map quiz and began the unit on Europe's History and Culture. The Europe IV Map Quiz is on Monday May 10th.
