Learning Environment

We are looking forward to a great year! Students will find that we are enthusiastic, and we enjoy teaching. Though students will receive homework, it is not excessive. Discipline problems are handled calmly and with respect. Lessons are taught using a variety of activities which encourage student involvement. It is one of our goals to make the learning experience enjoyable, even fun, for our students.

Requirements/Expectations

Just as we set high standards for ourselves, we have high expectations of our students. By the time students reach 7th grade, they are old enough to be responsible for their own assignments. We expect the students to complete assigned class work and homework by the assigned due date. We count on students to be respectful of other students, teachers and school personnel and to follow team rules. We are confident that these standards are reasonable and attainable.

We also expect students on our team to come fully prepared for each class. In addition to a pen or pencil and paper, students are also required to always carry an independent reading book (approved by both parent and reading teacher) and a writer's notebook with them at all times.
