The eighth grade math curriculum consists of three courses: Math 8, Introduction to Algebra, and Algebra I. All courses are designed to prepare the eighth graders for high school mathematics. Students can anticipate daily homework assignments as well as chapter tests. Periodically, students will complete sample PSSA practice tests to review previously taught material and identify topics that need to be re-taught. All 8th grade mathematics courses will explore common topics throughout the year; Trigonometry, Budgeting and Investing, Probability and Statistics, to name a few.
