This is a reminder going out to parents that SAMS is partnering with the Pennsylvania Department of Health to provide the Flu vaccine and tetanus boosters for students on Tuesday, November 25th. Information and consent forms were sent home with your student on November 7th.
The flu vaccine is the best way to protect against the flu and is recommended for middle school-aged students. The tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis booster (all one shot) will be required for admission to 7th grade for the upcoming school year and can be given to any student who has not had a tetanus shot for at least 5 years.
There is absolutely NO COST for either vaccine. Simply review the information and return the consent form for either or both vaccines by Friday, November 14. If, for some reason, you didn't receive the original information or have questions, please contact the school nurse, Ms. Spriggle, at 372-2262.
