Three third grade enrichment students worked collaboratively writing and illustrating the first three pages of an original spy story in which they won.  The Scholastic Books contest was open to 2nd and 3rd graders across the nation. The entries were judged by Scholastic editors and authors and were evaluated based upon originality, clarity of thought, and execution.  Their winning entry, ‘The Nilesgrove Mysteries: The Missing Principal’, was inspired by their school and the Mac B. Kid Spy series.  As the grand prize winners, they will join their 3rd grade classmates welcoming Mac Barnett and Mike Lowery, the creators of the series, to their school for an author visit in May.
