HS YEARBOOK SALE ANNOUNCEMENT:
The HS Yearbook Staff will begin selling yearbooks on
Wednesday, October 14th and will continue taking orders until
Friday, October 16th. Students can place an order at
lunchtime in the lobby outside the cafeteria line. At this time,
yearbooks are $53. Students may purchase name engravings and other
add-ons at the time of order for an extra cost. Yearbook payment is
either by cash or check. Students and parents may also order online with
a credit card. To order online, go to jostensyearbooks.com, click on “buy
your yearbook,” type in “Selinsgrove High School,” and then follow the
prompts. You will then be able to see all the add-ons and options
Please remember that although we will be taking yearbook
orders later in the year, the price of the yearbook does increase. This
is the lowest price of the year. Also, please note that the number of
books we order is based on the number of orders we receive. Although
there are always some extras, we did not have enough at the end of the year for
all students who decided they wanted one at the end of the year.
So order now and make sure you get your copy!

October is the month for the annual Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drill. PEMA, is urging all citizens to participate in the 2015 Great Shakeout. On October 15th at 10:15 a.m., millions of people in schools, businesses, government offices, organizations, and households will practice "Drop, Cover, and Hold On" and other aspects of their emergency plan in Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drills worldwide, including the Great Northeastern ShakeOut. We request your partnership in promoting awareness and participation–even if your area has fewer earthquakes than elsewhere. All people in the Northeast may travel or move to higher-risk areas and need to know how to be safe when the earth shakes.
