Course Objectives
  • Increase current fitness level
  • Value the importance of lifelong participation in physical activity
  • Set and achieve individual fitness goals
  • Use health related concepts and physical activity reccomendations to create a personalized fitness plan
  • Provide students with a wide variety of lifelong fitness activities.

 

Grading System: Percentage grade is earned by students

  • Class Participation- 33% of course grade
    • Effort- 5 points per day
  • Class Preparation- 34% of course grade
    • Begin each marking period with 100%
    • Lose 10% for each missed dress
  • Assessments- 33% of course grade
    • Fitness Plan design and reflection
    • Workout adherence
