Mr. Jason R. Schmucker
Before being promoted to Assistant Principal K-5, I spent one year teaching fifth grade at the Selinsgrove Intermediate School. Prior to this year, I taught for seven years with Harford County Public Schools in Maryland. My educational journey started when I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, with a concentration in Mathematics, from Bloomsburg University. Following that, I obtained my Masters of Education in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education, a completely online school. Throughout this educational experience, I learned the importance of connecting technology to the classroom to support individualized, personalized learning. I loved the experience so much that I decided to continue my Doctoral of Educational studies with the American College of Education in Educational Leadership with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction.
I am very passionate about working with and supporting children. I believe it is very important to work together with parents and guardians to ensure academic success of each and every student. I am looking forward to providing a positive school year for your child. My primary responsibilities include meeting and working with students and staff, communicating with families, and working with Ms. Garman (K-2), Mr. Conrad (3-5) and the leadership team. I look forward to getting to know and work with you to make this year both enjoyable and rewarding.
