Mrs. Barrick and her service dogs, Cotton and Han, visited Mrs. Davis’ Kdg Class during their study on pets. They learned how the dogs are trained and what kinds of jobs they have to learn to help people in need.

The Elementary School teamed up with Weis Markets and Trex to participate in Trex’s nationwide recycling program to turn 10,000 grocery bags into a bench. The goal was met within a month. Weis Markets kindly donated 2 additional benches to the school.

Students at the elementary school were challanged to demonstrate random acts of kindness and earn as many chain links as they could throughout the month of February. Mrs. Sprenke’s class collected the most chain links – 156
