Scholarships are wonderful opportunities to acquire “free money” for educational purposes (see these Tips). Scholarships for the 2025-2026 School Year For Seniors

The Selinsgrove Area High School’s GENERAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION is now available here. The General Scholarship Application allows students to be considered for many scholarships which are offered through our school and local community. Deadline to submit the General Scholarship Application is Friday, April 10, 2026.

The ABC Keystone’s Merit Shop Training & Research Center Scholarship opportunity is now available to graduates seeking to further their education in careers in construction. Applicants must be a member of the Chapter’s service area, which includes Snyder County, and apply to a trade school, college, or university program directly related to a construction career. Additional application information and the form is available here. Deadline to apply is March 6, 2026.

The Edna May Aucker Scholarship is now available to senior students who reside in Snyder County and are regular participants in church, scouting, or 4-H activities. This award is for four years of undergraduate studies, for a high school graduate, pursuing a degree at a qualified college or nursing school. Additional information and the application for this scholarship can be found here. Applications are due to the SAHS Guidance Office by Friday, March 27, 2026.

The Law Firm of Metzger Wickersham’s Road to Safety Scholarship is now available for applicants. Applicants will submit a creative project that educates people about the consequences of dangerous driving. Applicants must be graduating, college-bound high school seniors residing in Pennsylvania. The application form can be accessed here. Deadline to apply is April 15, 2026.

The Community Giving Foundation Scholarships are now available here. Scholarships open on March 1st and are due April 1, 2026.

The George W. & Anne A. Hoover Trust Scholarship is now available here. Applications are reviewed for academic achievements, financial need, and informal educational accomplishments. Deadline to complete and submit the application is before March 31, 2026.

The Sharon Cashman Scholarship for students entering the field of education is now available here. Deadline to apply is Friday, April 10, 2026.

The Selinsgrove Area Education Association (SAEA) Scholarship application is now available here. This application applies to four, $750 scholarships to be awarded
and one $750 William Wells’ scholarship for a senior planning to major in education. Deadline to apply is Friday, April 10, 2026.

The Mason Square and Compass Scholarship application is now available here. The Lafayette Lodge #194 Free and Accepted Masons will award two $500 scholarships to two students who will be attending a post-secondary college, university, or trade school. Deadline to apply is April 10, 2026.

The Karen M. Gehers/Soroptimist Memorial Scholarship is now available here. The Karen M. Gehers Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a Selinsgrove Area High School senior pursuing a degree in accounting, business, or entrepreneurship. Deadline for submissions is April 30, 2026 (mailed by Friday, April 25, 2026).

The Mary Ann (Bolig) Memorial Nursing Scholarship for students entering a Registered Nursing program is now available here. Deadline to apply is Friday, April 10, 2026.

The Selinsgrove Projects, Inc. (SPI) scholarship application is now available here. SPI offers an annual $1,000 scholarship to a Selinsgrove Area High School senior who plans to attend a post-secondary institution and has proven to be an exceptional volunteer in our town. Deadline to apply is April 10, 2026.

The Margaret H. Shaloka Scholarship offers a renewable $1000 scholarship for graduating seniors planning to major in English, literature, education, or the humanities at a four-year college or university. Candidates for this scholarship should demonstrate a dedication to learning, writing, service, or leadership.  Additional information and application materials can be found here. Applications (including applicant’s essay) should be submitted to the SAHS Guidance Office by April 15, 2026.

The First Community Foundation Partnership of PA is pleased to announce numerous scholarships for Selinsgrove Area High School graduates, including: FCFP Regional Scholarship, Kenneth and Marcia Johnson Scholarship, Richard P. Lauchle Forestry Scholarship, Taylor J. Ertel Scholarship for Foster Children, and T-Ross Brothers Construction, Inc. Scholarship. For all scholarships: applications are due April 1, 2026 and letters of recommendation are due April 15th. Recipients of awards will be informed on June 15, 2026. The Central Penn Bank & Trust Scholarship Program awards one scholarship of $1000 for four years ($4000 total) to a graduating senior intending to pursue a degree in a business-related field. Details about the scholarship and guidelines can be found here. Applications are due to the Central Penn Bank & Trust by April 24, 2026.

The 6th annual Greg Hodnett Foundation is offering a memorial scholarship. This scholarship will be awarded to a graduating student entering college or a technical school. The application materials and information can be found here. Application deadline is June 1, 2026.

The Horatio Alger Scholarship opens on December 1, 2025. This opportunity is open to students with a household income less than $100,000, and those who meet the additional eligibility requirements found here. Deadline to apply is February 15, 2026.

The Foundation for Enhancing Communities (Harrisburg, PA) has announced that scholarship applications will open on 1/1/26 and will close on 3/15/26. The Foundation offers a wide range of scholarships for graduating high school seniors, current college students, and adult learners. The PIAA Jack Zeigler and Mike Schwarz Scholarship application for 2025-26 is now open. This award will be given annually at the discretion of the District IV Committee and contingent upon available funds.  The successful applicants will complete an application (below) that includes how high school sport(s) have influenced them in a positive way.  The award will be a one-time, $5000 scholarship to one (1) male and one (1) female athlete.  The money may be used for tuition and/or technology, books, or needed supplies.  Each applicant must have participated in at least one sport for four years at the high school level.  Additionally, he/she must be accepted at a four-year accredited institution, college, or university.  Each applicant must have a sign-off by their principal and athletic director attesting that they are a successful candidate.  (Only one (1) male and one (1) female applicant per school.)

Minimum Requirements: 1. Must be a senior; 2. Must have at least a 3.0 GPA; 3. Must have a verified post-secondary education entrance test score: SAT, ACT, or other; 4. Earned at least one varsity letter in a PIAA recognized sport; 5. Award winner is required to read essay at Spring meeting.

The Hagan Scholarship Foundation has announced their 2025-26 scholarship opportunity for goal-driven students. Additional information and qualification criteria can be found here . More information can also be found at haganscholarships.org. Deadline for applications is December 1, 2025. 

The PA State Association of Township Supervisors (PSATS) Scholarship Program is offering four, $1500 scholarships. Applicants must reside in a township of the second class in Pennsylvania, be a junior or senior student, and plan to attend a post-high-school institution. Details regarding this opportunity can be found here. Note: the PDF version of the application on the PSATS website is not updated; students must complete the application through the website application. Deadline to apply is December 31, 2025.

The Horatio Alger Scholarship opens on December 1, 2025. This opportunity is open to students with a household income less than $100,000, and those who meet the additional eligibility requirements found here. Deadline to apply is March 1, 2026.

The 2025-26 Coolidge Scholarship application is now live. This national opportunity offers a full-ride, four-year, merit scholarship opportunity for undergraduate study at accredited colleges or universities. Application information can be found here. Deadline to apply is 5pm on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.
