You may print out and complete the application or students can stop by the guidance office and pick up a copy. Scholarships for the 2023-2024 School Year For Seniors

  • Many community organizations and families graciously offer scholarship opportunities to graduating Selinsgrove Area High School Seniors. To be eligible for many scholarship opportunities, SAHS seniors must complete the General Scholarship Application. A copy of the application is available from Ms. Ritter in the Guidance Office or click here. Deadline to apply is April 12, 2024. 
  • The Selinsgrove Area Education Association is excited to announce four ,$750 scholarships for students attending post-secondary institutions and one, $750 scholarship for an individual planning to major in education. To be eligible for many scholarship opportunities, SAHS seniors must complete the SAEA Scholarship Application. A copy of the application is available from Ms. Ritter in the Guidance Office or click here. Deadline to apply is April, 12, 2024. 
  • The Last Dollar Scholarship is an opportunity for graduating students who demonstrate financial assistance to attend their desired educational institution, are eligible for the federal Pell grant, and plan to attend a non-profit educational institution in Pennsylvania. The funding is renewable for four years! To apply for this opportunity, complete the attached application here.. Deadline to apply is May 15, 2024. 
  • The 4th Annual Greg Hodnett Foundation Scholarship is now available. This scholarship will be awarded on July 6, 2024 at Port Royal Speedway during the 6th Annual Greg Hodnett Classic. Qualifications: applicant must be a 2024 high school graduate and be enrolled in an accredited college, technical, or business school pursuing a two or four year degree.   • The Center for Dairy Excellence Foundation offers a variety of scholarships to students pursuing education to grow their dairy management skill set. The Student Leadership Scholarship is available here. Deadline to apply is May 1, 2024. 
  • The Association for Inclusion, Respect, and Equity is excited to announce their first annual series of scholarships. Two scholarships are available: $1,000 Community Activist Scholarship and $1,000 Art, Design, and Music Scholarship. Additional information is available here. 
  • The Battram Community Foundation Scholarship is now available for students interested in wood working as part of their career path. This is a new scholarship with great opportunities! More information is available here.  Application deadline: April 26, 2024. 
  • The Evangelical Hospital Nursing Scholarship is available here. Application deadline: April 1, 2024. 
  • The Daniel P. Geiger Scholarship is available to children of Veterans pursuing post-secondary learning. Applications are available here. Application deadline: April 1, 2024. 
  • The Mifflinburg Bank & Trust Scholarship Program awards $1000 scholarship (Maximum of $4,000 over 4 years) to a graduating senior attending a 2 or 4 year business related degree program. Application is available here. Deadline to apply is April 22, 2024.
  • The Pennsylvania Association of Educational Office Professionals offer a number of scholarship opportunities (noted bel0w), available at their website.
    • A Student Scholarship
      The Hermine Solt Student Scholarship
      The student scholarship fund was established in 1992 for the purpose of aiding students in Pennsylvania to pursue higher education in a business-related field. The scholarship was named the Hermine Solt Student Scholarship in April 2006 to honor Hermine Solt. Mrs. Solt, who passed away in 2008, was a dedicated office professional who faithfully served PAEOP and whose sincere desire was to enable students to further their education.A Member Award of Recognition
      The Gertrude E. Kopf/Charlotte Walter AwardThis award of recognition began in 1981 with the first award given in 1983.  This award is presented to honor a PAEOP member who has contributed outstanding service to education through their performance of their duties/ responsibilities in an educational office.  In 1995, the award was named the Gertrude E. Kopf Award of Recognition in honor of Gertrude Kopf, former PAEOP president.  In 2023, the PAEOP committee voted to add the name of Charlotte Walter in memoriam to this award. Charlotte was a long-standing officer and member of PAEOP and NAEOP.  For many years, Charlotte chaired this award and did a wonderful job of creating a memorable experience for the recipient.  Qualified Gertrude E. Kopf/Charlotte Walter Award of Recognition recipients will be nominated for the comparable NAEOP* (Olive T.       The Louise Henderson Nelson Scholarship
      The PAEOP Member Scholarship fund was established in 1976 by Louise Henderson Nelson, a Pennsylvanian who founded the National Association of Educational Office Professionals. The purpose is to aid members of the Pennsylvania Association of Educational Office Professionals who are currently enrolled in and working toward a certificate for the Professional Standards Program of the National Association of Educational Office Professionals.
  • The Pennsylvania House of Representatives Scholarship is available here. The Pennsylvania House of Representatives’ Scholarship Program enhances educational opportunities for eligible students who reside in Pennsylvania. The program is privately funded by individual and corporate donors; no tax or other public funds are used. The program provides four-year scholarships to two high school seniors per year. The award is to be used towards the cost of tuition and fees for a four-year program at a college, university, or career school in Pennsylvania. Each award consists of the value of one semester of tuition at Shippensburg University in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania which is a state supported school for each of four years, as stipulated by members of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives when the scholarship was established. Half of each annual award will be paid in the fall semester, and half in the spring semester. Students must maintain eligibility criteria in all four years in order to receive ongoing awards.
  • The Pennsylvania ASCD is aware of the ongoing teacher shortage in Pennsylvania, and is committed to helping address the issue. A scholarship opportunity for student pursuing post-secondary learning for a career in education is available here. Application deadline: April 30, 2024. 
  • If you are planning to attend MANSFIELD UNIVERSITY – APPLY FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP !!!! There are other scholarships available for other universities as well !!! The application can be found at https://mansfieldfoundation.awardspring.com to apply online.
  • If you attended Head Start for Preschool – This is a Scholarship Opportunity for you !!! The Jeff Koppel Scholarship is now available. There are two, $2500 scholarships awarded to former Head Start students who are pursuing post high school educational experiences. The application can be found on the Pennsylvania Head Start Association website (www.paheadstart.org). Click on the Events and Education tab, and the scholarship application can be found.  The application deadline is March 29.
  • The Merit Shop Training & Research Center Scholarships are available to support post-secondary education in the construction industry. Information is available here. Deadline to apply is April 1, 2024. 
  • The First Community Foundation Partnership facilitates a variety of scholarships to support Selinsgrove Area High School students. Attached is a listing of scholarships available to Snyder County students: see Snyder Co. postings.  Applications are accepted through: fcfpartnership.orgDeadline to apply is April 1, 2024. 
  • The Mary Ann Bolig Memorial Nursing Scholarship is available for students entering a Registered Nursing program. Complete the attached application . Deadline to apply is April 12, 2024.
  • Education Majors: $200 scholarship opportunity is available. Paper applications only. See Ms. Ritter (Guidance Secretary) for a copy of the application or click here.. Deadline to apply is March 30, 2024. 
  • Studentscholarships.org offers  a list of 15 Scholarship Programs available to students. More than 800 Individual Scholarships will be distributed through these 15 Programs. Students from our high school are eligible for all awards. February Scholarship Newsletter is available here.
  • The 2024 Student-View Scholarship Program is offering over $14,000 worth of scholarships to high school seniors who attend a post-secondary institution (4-year college, community/junior college, career school). Additional information can be found here. Scholarship deadline is April 23, 2024.
  • The Primary Health Network (PHN) Charitable Foundation scholarship program provides $30,000 in academic awards to students pursuing a career in the healthcare or allied health fields. Eligibility and application criteria can be found here.Deadline to apply is March 31, 2024. 
  • The 2024 Epilepsy Association of Western and Central PA will award three $1500 and seven $1000 scholarships for students who have epilepsy/seizure disorder. Applications and be found here .   Applications must be received no later than April 1, 2024. 
  • ABC Keystone’s Merit Shop Training & Research Center Scholarship opportunity for Individuals seeking to further their education in careers in construction.
  • To be eligible, applicants must either:
    1. be a permanent resident in the Chapter’s service area which includes the following Pennsylvania counties: Adams, Bedford, Berks, Blair, Bradford, Cambria, Cameron, Centre, Chester, Clearfield, Clinton, Columbia, Cumberland, Dauphin, Elk, Huntingdon, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lycoming, McKean, Mifflin, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Potter, Schuylkill, Snyder, Somerset, Sullivan, Tioga, Union, York; or,
    2. be applying to or attending a Chapter service area trade school, college or university program that is directly related to a construction career. This includes skilled trades, engineering, architecture, and construction management.

    The 2024-2025 scholarship application window is open, and applications are due February 23, 2024.  Application forms and instructions can be found at the following website.

  • The 2024 PSECU Scholarship application is now open. To be eligible, applicants must have their own PSECU account and complete the application by February 29, 2024Click here
  • The Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) is announcing the continuation of its local and national scholarship program for the 2023-2024 school year. The application period is NOW OPEN through December 8, 2023. There are three qualification requirements to be considered for the annual scholarships:
    1. Applicant must be a female student and US citizen.
    2. Applicant must be a student currently residing in PA or attending high school, trade school, junior college, undergraduate school, or graduate school in the Commonwealth.
    3. Applicant should be considering a career related to transportation.

Scholarships for the 2023-2024 School Year For Juniors

  • The Pennsylvania Society’s Benjamin Franklin Scholar Award for PA public school juniors is currently accepting submissions.  Information regarding the opportunity can be found here. Application deadline: March 1, 2024. 
  • The Horatio Alger Association seeks to award high school juniors who demonstrate integrity, perseverance in overcoming adversity, strength of character, financial need, a good academic record, commitment to pursue a college education, and a desire to contribute to society with scholarships.
